A Garden Social Fundraising Event.

Join us Friday, August 28, for an afternoon of wine, raffles, prizes, shopping, and socializing in celebration of gardening, community, and the joy of the season.

Whether you are a gardener, nature lover, Extension supporter, community partner, local business, or friend of Lake and McHenry Counties, this garden social is a wonderful opportunity to come together in support of a meaningful cause.

Proceeds from the event will support University of Illinois Extension Unit 3 programs serving Lake and McHenry Counties, including 4-H Youth Development, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, SNAP-Ed, agriculture, natural resources, and community education.

Event Details

  • Event Admission — tickets can be purchased for $30 per person in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available for sale at the door for $35. Discounts are available for a limited time for advance ticket purchases.

  • Door Prizes — admission secures a ticket to enter for a chance to win one of many door prizes.

  • Live Music— a local jazz trio will serve as a delightful background to our afternoon in the garden.

  • Refreshments & Appetizers— wine and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available for your enjoyment, as well as delightful appetizers stationed throughout the garden.

  • Raffle and Auctions —  purchase tickets or bid for a chance to win some great themed prizes.

  • Live Demonstrations — seasonal planter building.

  • Photo Opportunities — the entire garden will be bursting with blooms for many delightful photo opportunities, plus a special opportunity with a mini-yak for your memorable photos
